A MESSAGE FROM THE SCSU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE BOARD...
Whistle, 2, 3, 4...
Up, Two, Kick, Step! When we say those words it always means the same thing: IT'S TIME TO MAKE A MOVE! Whether you are standing in place while marching to the beat... IT'S TIME TO MAKE A MOVE! If you are playing the opening notes of the drill selection to announce that the 101 is in the house... IT'S TIME TO MOVE! If you are supporting the efforts of the Alumni Band Association, it's because you recognize that IT'S TIME TO MAKE A MOVE! The Alumni Band Association is committed to continue moving forward as a viable organization who works with the University and its Band Program to provided needed resources for the hardworking students of the band program. In Memory of Solomon Williamson
The SCSU Alumni Band Executive Board was saddened to hear that Alumni Band member Solomon Williamson took his last breath on Sunday night, December 11,2016. Solomon was an award winning Coach who led his team to the lower state Class A championship. He was very courageous person who was battling pancreatic cancer. He inspired everyone who was in his presence with his inspirational messages of hope, triumph, and faith. He fought until he could fight no more. Our hearts go out to his son Matthew, who is a great musician just like his father. To the Williamson family and friends, please hold on the precious memories that you shared. Allow them to comfort you during this difficult time.

It's time to come together to help make sure the the Marching 101 has water on game days. This is the third year of the campaign and we get better each year. This year we will recognize two winning sections. The section that raises the most money will be recognized along with the section that brings in the most cases of water. Please designate a section of the band to receive credit for your donation. Please see the flyer below for more information.
SC State "Marching 101" participated in the Honda Battle of the Bands, on January 30, 2016.

SC State Alumni Band Homecoming Information
We had a blast this past homecoming reuniting with our fellow SC State Alumni Band Alumni family! Regardless of the ERA in which you marched, you are now a part of the ALUMNI ERA. Our styles and memories may be different, but we are still ALUMNI... Now let's make sure our sound is in TUNE! WE ARE 10...1!
If you did not receive the information for Homecoming or for any of the past alumni events, please send an email to
firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to our mailing list.
We would first like to thank those of you who have donated water or money to our "Thirsty Dog" Campaign. We were very pleased at the overwhelming response to our call to action. We appreciate everyone who dropped off water, made a donation, or coordinated with other members of their section to make a contribution. You have truly shown the true BULLDOG SPIRIT! We collected hundreds of cases of water and dollars to support the students of the University Band program thanks to generous donations.
